HAHA! That's from week 6. Now I'm at mid-sem break! But I think I'm getting just a little bit more motivated all of a sudden! And so I'm going to do my Canadian post now! YAY! Finally I'm getting myself to do it!
DAY 1
It was so cool to see the pau at the YVR Airport waving so frantically at us, I tell you! And then we met her really pretty friend called Karen and oh yah.. Before I go on, I must tell you the Canadian Customs were quite strict! That guy, whom almost made us illegal immgrants there, asked so many questions! Anyway I'm just so glad Charlene was there because she had so much information that he wanted but I do not have like Chris's address and mobile number. Anyway I think Char had so many interesting stories to tell him, like her two bags of
Singapore SQ17 & t3's butterfly garden
Anddd the seat which I spent ages choosing was no window seat. I chose some auspicious seat number that happens to be right smack next to the plane's left wing and so I had no scenery to look at for 15 hours. OH MAN! And when I tried to peep at the beautiful scenery outside at some point during the flight, some lady sitting in front of me said,"It's just like the pictures in our geography textbooks!" Tell me about it, man!
The fantastic silent shit-hole & chem lab in UBC
WRECK BEACHHHHH
Sorry for the exploding number of photos for this section but these numbers don't even justify 1% of its beauty. Anyway I almost died here if you know how agile I am when it comes to sloping grounds! Char and her oversized timberland boots are my savior! Anyway this is like one of the best parts of the trip because despite all the jet-lag one is supposed to suffer for travelling back-time, I was how awake and excited and even enthusiastically crawled my way up and down the slopes, risking all my life for the snow, sand, sea and sky all at one time!
Wreck Beachhhh!!
Oh I must mention that this is a nude beach during the summer but damn it I was obviously there during the Winter.
Cute Pearl & all in the bitter cold Vancouver Streets
It was how cold and I was only in my pathetic Singaporean-style clothes and a thick jacket plus lousy scarves and pau's cap! This is how we risk our lives for bubble tea canadian style. Chris and her delicious wheatgerm and fried chicken... I felt like I was in Taiwan for a moment until I walked out and heard the howling winds.
Guu is Guu'd
Dinner time! Met Chris's friend, Choo Min, who just finished her paper for dinner! We took quite a bit of time trying to find this fantastic Guu. The best Japanese food ever and from the picture above (wahh like oral examination!), you can see how sleepy I was already! Effectively 2 days without sleep, yo! Ramune Ramune Ramune. Snow White Ramune. Ahhh! I love Guu!
Oh, minus all the noise. HAHA!
Okay end of day 1. I took approximately 50 minutes to write the above. HAHA!
It's not that difficult afteralll!! But now I'm tiredddd..
And oh yea. Chris said we were Fresh Off the Boat. And started calling us the FOBS on fb that night..
The FOB's Day 1 at Vancouver.
