petrol station

grraaahhh!!
I am again going to complain about my powerful mind, everybody.
I was just thinking how come my colleague isn't here yet!! Erh, because I want to give him the present for his one month old boy. Eh.. I think it is really cute with 3 monkeys hanging on the rattle. Plus I wrapped it so super nicely!! So I HAVE to show off. The photo is in my phone which I will upload later. Haha! Anyway, I was just thinking and TAADAAAH!! Once again, he appeared.
grrrraaahhhh!! Give me a break can!!

Just yesterday, like any other day, we passed by a petrol station. And naturally, by routine, my father would drive in and get me to buy his gossipy sin min wan bao ( The red chinese newspaper). Also by routine, I would go to the side of the queue and ask for the pathetic papers. But yesterday, the cashier told me to queue up when there was around 6 people in the queue. If you haven't been to a petrol station during the peak hours when everyone's car is just thirsty, let me tell you it is an awful long time. Because with the price hike in petrol/diesel, everyone pays with VISA/NETS because nobody carries so much cash with them nowadays. And even if they do, they do not want to use it for petrol that is so much on a weekly basis, or even more.
So approximately,
1 car's transaction= 3mins
6 cars' transaction= 6X3mins
= 18 mins
That means I spent 18 mins just to buy a 70cents worth of newspaper.
Okay, I am making such a fuss because seriously EVERY petrol station islandwide allows people to cut the damn queue if you want to buy newspaper, provided if you have exact change. I had.

Seriously, if they do not want people to cut queue for newspaper, then they should not have started that routine long ago! Now, it has become a habit and a routine. So they only have themselves to blame for starting that express lane for newspaper at least a decade ago. (I remember cutting the petrol queue when I was a small girl around 1.2m. I was 1.23m in primary one. That means this trend was already present 12 years ago. )

To the cashier at Caltex Petrol Station at 8:30pm along Ang Mo Kio Ave 5, again,

Please wake up your ideas. Since when people need to queue for
newspaper. No brainer.
And if you are trying to have a better Singapore with don't know how many million smiles just for the expatriates who are coming in September, FORGET IT! You can never do that alone.. You'll need me too. But sorry, you pissed me off so I am not helping you. Pui!

Actually, I already said the blue part pretty loudly while I was queueing up. I was so angry that I slammed the coins on the table that sent a 20-cent coin rolling about and then to the floor. But then, that wasn't intentional la. I just wanted to slam the coins. And then I snatched the newspaper from her and gave her a fatal stare.
Unfortunately, she did not die.

Tell me if I am wrong man. No, do not tell me even if I am wrong. Actually when I was slouching on my couch waiting for my sister to stop hogging the toilet, I felt that I was kinda bad. But then if it was already a routine, then why can't they just follow it? And even if she was trying to change the whole system, she could have been more flexible. For example if the queue is slightly long, then let people get their newspaper so that they won't contribute to the longer waiting time, isn't it? And even if she wants to be fair to all, is a longer waiting time fair?

Nothing in the world is fair. Only Snow White is fair.
