cycling cycling cycling, yes we finally embarked on our healthy lifestyle!
All 5 of us, young and youthful, skipped all the way to east coast park to borrow bikes to cycle for 2 hours. Actually I thought 2 hours wasn't enough, but cycling for just half an hour was enough to kill me! I am that unfit now. Like what pau says,
I was so tired that I decided to stop to watch some snail crawl by with the aid of some disgusting ants. I was that tired, but I guess stopping by to look at the small things really made me feel so much better! I wasn't that tired anymore, and erhhh, I didn't need to rest my elbows on the bike handle that much anymore. I was telling Jesmine on the way that my limbs were tired and I told her they were called limbs because I couldn't feel them anymore. I seriously do not know how come my limbs were tired. I left east coast park feeling tired and sandy and 'dusty', but definitely satisfied, because yes! I finally got to cycle again.
And of course we had to go back to the meepok stall, because that is actually the highlight of every bicycle ride at east coast park. Although the standard of the meepok had dropped by like 0.5%, it was great to feel that sense of familiarity. The colour of the bowls, the taste of the chilli sauce, everything was just familiar. Although chancing upon the OM and some other DnT teacher wasn't exactly a good thing, it was good to just know that everything is still the same.
AND settling in Settlers' cafe is fun! Although the couches are sleep-inducing, but with a mind-boogling game like betrayal at the house in the hill (wow! what a long name), no one can fall asleep there! We were so confused half the time, and so we wasted the other half of the time trying to figure out what was happening. But the layout of the game was beautiful and the characters were eccentric in a manner that was kinda attractive, so I didn't mind doing all the figuring out. Anyway, I needed to rest my mind from the shock I got from a white dog which had some kind of spasm while I was patting it. I honestly thought that it was going to kill me by giving me rabies for disturbing its afternoon slumber. Luckily, it was nice enough to give me just a warning. I am very sure I will not touch it ever again. I'll just stick with the friendly ones, like the brown retriever who stepped on pau's foot so naturally, and the blackie who has a really wet nose.
I LOVE DOGS, still!
I should not forget to mention the awfully chocolate experience we had. Walking along Joo Chiat was just so full of surprises. Remember not to step into any shop, no matter how nice and not-sleazy looking it is. We actually crawled up awfully chocolate's office, thinking that we'll each get a slice of very nice chocolate cake before playing some board games.
A very not-sian day, finally.
