And so the first 2 days were just really fine although things were really different without my dearest uncle around. It was kind of sad but then it's the oh-so-great Chinese New Year. We had to be all auspicious, so no mention of anything that could yank your tears out sort of stuff. Then the world's greatest third day of the cny came, and that's like the best day ever. Nobody's house this small should ever invite so many guests, or rather, guests should never come to a house this size uninvited. Despite all the dirt they left behind while treating a house like a hawker centre, i.e., throwing tissue on the floor after use, I was having quite a lot of fun with my 2 cousins. I was all confused initially because they are around the age of Mahen, and Mahen is my nephew. But for these 2 cute lil' boys Bryan and Raphael, they are my cousins. Confusing stuff.
Raphael (R) was seriously funny. He reminds me of Aaron, the Hellweeker, in some way. Anyway he was just beating everyone up and so my very motherly sister (S) had a very meaningful conversation with him.
S: why do you keep hitting people?
R: Everyone is laughing at me.
R: YOU! YOU! YOU! YOU! YOU! (points at his brother Bryan, my brother Ben and myself)
S: But nobody is laughing at you.
(Bryan and I were like looking at some neopets thing and so we didn't know what he was talking about so we just laughed because he was really agitated)
R: Yes! They are laughing at me!
R: Everyone laughs at me. I am a lose (loser). I am a lose.
(Then he ran out of the room...)
(5 minutes later..)
R: Can we play hide and seek?

Have you heard? The dearest Ah Meng of the Singapore Zoo passed away a few days ago at the age of 48. Did you see the number of people who turned up for this orang utan's "wake". If it were to be someone's wake, just check out the number of people who will be there on the 4th day of the Chinese New Year.
But then again, as the very loyal ex-friend of the zoo, I'll miss the Ah Meng and not forget the many pictures I have of him on my calendars and notebooks. I love the Ah Meng!
//hopefully it's not with you
