On the 7th of March, we did something that must be done in one's lifetime - to take the Singapore Flyer.
It's nice to see Singapore in this manner. I like it. I feel so proud to be a Singaporean! Every inch was lighted up and there's like no obvious urban-rural divide! Obviously there are like the less well-off but let's not go into that!
ANDDD SOOOO you can just feel like a giant on the flyer! Everything is tiny. Yeaaa, that happens even when you are on the Sentosa Express, but hey! You'll be doing a 360-degrees up in the sky, okay! It was quite good. I liked it. We were like on a frenzy in the cabin. We took like so many photos. We snapped and snapped and snapped at every single degree the flyer turned. But Mahen stuck to the bench for almost 180-degrees. He got a little scared at first but got ever it when he realised it's something like the cable car (Mahen loves the cable car. He feels like cable car-ing every single day). He insisted that we were on the cable car until he spotted the real cable car some distances away. Yes, you can see the cable car on the flyer. It is that cool. We enjoyed every degree of the flyer but we weren't able to ignore the congestion on the road. Maybe because the IT fair was happening that's why there was a jam, but really check out the number of cars. You can't ignore it. Phrases like "global warming, greenhouse effect" start popping into your head. HAHA! Total spoiler man.
Anyway, take the flyer after the IRs are built. If not you'll be looking at a lot of cranes, excavators and stuff. It's not exactly good when I just visited a Circle Line construction site a few days ago and kept knocking my helmet-ed head onto the steel beams and had drops of muddy water on our shirts. I was so upset to see the construction site. But that looks like my future...
Till 2009, Singapore Flyer. I will visit you again then..
Ohhh did I mention it was my sister's birthday? Yea, it was her birthday. Her cheesecake was smummy (smiley + yummy).
