a smokey getaway

A smokey getaway.
I do not know if it was the haze or the secondhand smoke we were inhaling for the past few days. I spent this year's National Day on some kind of dysfunctional cruise ship, where only the casinos, dining places and some karaoke bars were opened. I knew it was not the Star Virgo we planned to be on since it was technically free, but I expected it to be relaxing with loads of free time for fresh air and maybe some swimming. Obviously, not! The ship had no swimming pool at all and all other facilities were not working or were only available at the weirdest hours. It was just floating/moving in the sea near the Indonesian islands but I have no idea which part of Earth I was on for those 24 hours! All I did was to eat, sing, laugh, play card games, sleep, laugh, eat, laugh, sleep, eat, laugh, sleep. Very good way to spend the long weekend before the evil school starts!

I took the wrong cable out, so pictures are still in my sister's camera. I hope I can finish this post pronto because I do need my beauty sleep, especially when tomorrow's class starts at 9am. What a great way to start the new academic year! I'm trying to prepare myself to embrace learning as a full-time student for the very last yearrr because I know I'll never be satisfied and will suddenly miss school when I start working. Please remind me this when I get tired of school, which is now. Thank you very much in advance!

On a really random note, my father and I are in this kite-flying craze right now! The both of us can be found on that recreational plot of land at Sengkang on some random evenings. Like father & daughter kind of activity. Very touchingzzz. I would say it is as though the kite is tied to the heart, because whenever the wind blows, the wind tugs the kite hard, which would make my heart skip 30 beats because I just cannot make myself trust that stupid strong-looking-but-really-weak string. I worry that it would snap and send that colourful cobra right into the clouds, leaving me with nothing but that plastic reel once again. Total adrenaline rushhhhhhhh...
